Baseball To Face Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The 10-11 Thundering Herd baseball team will travel to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats for a game on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.
The Herd is coming off of an 8-2 win over the Cleveland State Vikings on Sunday at University Heights. Senior Corie O'Bryan (Frederick, MD) hit his first home run of the year, a grand slam, to give the Herd their tenth win of the season.
The Wildcats (10-6) are coming off of their first SEC series, taking two out of three from the seventh ranked Auburn Tigers this past weekend.
Last season, Kentucky defeated Marshall, 14-1. The Wildcats lead the all-time series by a 26-9 margin.
After the contest with Kentucky, Marshall will travel to Eastern Michigan to open up the Mid-American Conference season. The teams qill square off in three games from Friday to Sunday.
