COLUMBUS, Ohio - Junior sprinter Karmen Collins led all Marshall runners on Saturday at the Ohio State Invitational with a fifth place finish in the 60-meter hurdles (9.23).
Junior Xavier Richards added eighth place finishes in both the 60-meter dash (8.05) and the 200-meter dash (26.24). Seniors Tanesha Becton and Zedmalia Wolfe placed 10th in the 60-meter dash (8.12) and seventh in the 200-meter dash (26.23), respectively.
In the field events freshman Teniqua Sutton had a seventh place finish in the high jump (1.56m, 5'1.25") and sixth in the long jump (5.39m, 17'8.25"). Rachel Blankenship added a seventh place finish in the shot put with a throw of 5.39-meters (39'3.75") while senior Stacie Belzer captured the eighth spot in the weight throw with a distance of 14.82-meters (48'7.5").
The Thundering Herd will be back in action on February 5 when they travel to Akron, Ohio to compete in the Akron Open.
