Marshall Completes Competition at SeaRay Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Marshall University women's track team completed its two day appearance at the 37th Annual SeaRay Relays on Saturday on the campus of the University of Tennessee.
Leading the Thundering Herd on the final day of competition was the 4x100-meter shuttle hurdle relay team comprised of senior Kristin Herron (Frankfort, Ky.), junior Karmen Collins (Slicklerville, N.J.), sophomore Danyell Garner (Logan, W.Va.) and freshman Roshawna Mongold (Maysville, W.Va.). The team finished ninth with a time of 1:06.57.
Also hitting the track for the Herd on Saturday was the 4x100-meter relay team of seniors Herron, Taneshia Becton (Pennsauken, N.J.) and Ashli Creal (Chicago, Ill.) and junior Xavier Richards (Kingston, Jamaica). The team finished 24th in the event with a time of 48.96.
The Thundering Herd is back in action on Friday, April 22 when it travels to Richmond, Ky. to compete in the Eastern Kentucky Open.
