Women's Track Open Indoor Season at Findlay

Findlay, Ohio - The Marshall University Women's Track team will begin their indoor season at the Oilers Open hosted by University of Findlay, Saturday.
The Thundering Herd returns with standouts from last season including senior Teniqua Sutton (Westbury, N.J.), junior LaTrica Jones (Spartanburg, S.C.) and sophomore Tarrin Scott (Bellefontaine, Ohio).
Sutton set two indoor school records last season. She bested the school record in the triple jump with a leap of 39-05.00, and was a member of the 4x400 relay team that broke the school record with a time of 3:53.32 Sutton claimed three first places finishes (long jump, high jump and triple jump) during the indoor season.
As a sophomore Jones competed in the weight throw and shot put. She reached the top 10 in her events, 10 out of 12 times. Her best throw in the shot put was 13.59m and weight throw was 16.02m.
Scott played a duel role during her freshman indoor season, participating in distance and jump events for the Herd. Scott was also a member, alongside Sutton, on the record-holding 4x400 relay team.
