Marshall Wraps-up Action at Kentucky Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Marshall University women's track team opened up 2009 by continuing its indoor track season at the Kentucky Invitational this past weekend.
Junior Andrea Jackson (Sumter, S.C.) claimed second place in the triple jump for the second consecutive meet this season.
Jackson, who qualified for NCAA outdoor regionals last season, jumped to a mark of 39-11.50 feet which is over two feet more than her second place finish at the Oilers Open back in December.
Conference USA women's cross country academic team member sophomore Kathleen Clark (Twinsburg, Ohio) earned a 20th place finish in the 800-meter with a time of 2:23.58.
The Thundering Herd will be back in action Jan. 30-31 when they compete in the Niswonger Invitational hosted by East Tennessee State.
