GREENSBORO, N.C. - Amanda Kennedy's throw of 41.07m (134-9 feet) in the javelin placed her 28th at the NCAA East Regional qualifying meet Thursday afternoon, hosted by the University of North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C.

Kennedy missed the weekend finals, but despite not having an opportunity to compete for a spot in the NCAA National Championship meet, the freshman school record holder will participate at Junior National, June 23-27, at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
