TRAMEL TALK
Head Coach Bill Tramel on the West Virginia State Games:
"That was fun. It's fun to perform well. This was our first meet of the season, but it felt like a championship meet at the end of the season.
We were sharper than I expected and while we still have work to do, our first outing was exceptional."
"We had 13 performances that ranked among Marshall's All-Time Top Ten performances. But the thing I am most proud of our women is we went to the well so many times this weekend and didn't fade.We were second by 157.5 points. We even cut it to 67 down with four events to go. Considering West Virginia won this meet last year by 610 points, I think the progress that we have made is phenomenal.
It's all coming together."
HELMICH'S HEADLINES
Diving Coach Andrew Helmich on Divers:
"I'm very excited with how the diving events turned today. The divers picked up right where they left off yesterday. I am very happy with what this meet says to me about their diving as we move forward."
