HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Dan Straily's bounce back against the Washington Nationals and Aaron Bossi's professional debut highlighted last week's action as nine former Marshall baseball players continued their professional careers with Major League organizations.

Details for each are found below:

Dan Straily -- Starting Pitcher -- Cincinnati Reds

Straily bounced back after two rough outings on Saturday against the Washington Nationals. Straily went seven innings and allowed three runs on two hits. He had four strikeouts in the no decision. Straily's next start is on Friday at the Miami Marlins at 7:10 p.m.

Straily's season stats: 18 G, 15 GS, 4-5, 4.34 ERA, 95.1 IP, 73 H, 46 R, 46 ER, 43 BB, 78 K

Aaron Blair -- Starting Pitcher - Gwinnett Braves (International League; Triple-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves)

Blair made one start over the past week against the Norfolk Tide. Blair went five innings with six strikeouts, but allowed 10 hits and seven runs. His next start will come on Saturday at the Charlotte Knights.

Blair's season stats with Atlanta: 11 G, 11 GS, 0-5, 7.99 ERA, 50.2 IP, 60 H, 47 R, 45 ER, 29 BB, 29 K
Blair's season stats with Triple-A Gwinnett: 6 G, 6 GS, 3-2, 4.09 ERA, 33 IP, 31 H, 15 R, 15 ER, 14 BB, 37 K

Kevin Shackelford -- Relief Pitcher -- Louisville Bats (International League; Triple-A Affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds)

Shackelford made two appearances since being promoted to Triple-A Louisville. In his first appearance, the right-handed pitcher tossed 2.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts. On Tuesday, Shackelford pitched two shutout innings against the Indianapolis Indians with two strikeouts. Shackelford holds a 1.02 ERA through 17.2 innings with 15 strikeouts in 2016.

Shackelford's season stats with Double-A Pensacola: 10 G, 1-0, 1.38 ERA, 13.0 IP, 11 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 11 K

Isaac Ballou -- Outfielder -- Harrisburg Senators (Eastern League; Double-A Affiliate of the Washington Nationals)

Over Ballou's last 10 games, he is batting .333 (12-for-36) with five runs, five RBIs and a home run. Ballou recorded two three-hit games this past week against Reading and Erie. On Tuesday, Ballou went 3-for-3 with three singles, two runs scored and a RBI. He had two stolen bases in the three-game series against Erie.

Burris Warner -- Pitcher -- Lakeland Flying Tigers (Florida State League; Class A Advance Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers)

Warner has appeared twice since being promoted to Class A Advance. In his first appearance on Saturday, Warner tossed one inning with two strikeouts. Warner pitched 1.2 innings against the Clearwater Threshers on Wednesday with a strikeout.

Warner's season stats with Class A Advance Lakeland: 2 G, 0-0, 6.75 ERA, 2.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2, ER, 2 BB, 3 K

Corey Bird -- Outfielder -- Batavia Muckdogs (New York-Penn League; Class A Short Season Affiliate of the Miami Marlins)

Bird has started the last six games for Batavia against the Williamsport Crosscutters and Brooklyn Cyclones. Bird totaled six hits, four runs and two RBIs. The outfielder's best outing came against Williamsport on Sunday where he was 2-for-4 with a RBI and a stolen base.

Bird's season stats: 12 G, .250 AVG, 52 AB, 13 H, 7 R, 5 RBI, 1 BB

JD Hammer -- Pitcher -- Grand Junction Rockies (Pioneer League; Rookie Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies)

Hammer picked up his first professional save on Saturday against the Idaho Falls Chukars. Hammer pitched one inning and only allowed a hit. In his next two appearances, which came against the Orem Owlz, Hammer tossed a combined 1.1 innings with a strikeout.

Hammer's season stats: 6 G, 0-1, 6.00 ERA, 6.0 IP, 13 H, 9 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 7 K, 1 SV

Parker Danciu -- Pitcher -- GCL Braves (Gulf Coast League; Rookie Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves)

Danciu appeared in two games over the past week against the GCL Blue Jays and GCL Pirates. On Tuesday, Danciu tossed two innings with two strikeouts. The left-handed pitcher earned his first professional save on Friday, as he pitched three scoreless innings with three strikeouts.

Danciu's season stats: 3 G, 1-0, 4.50 ERA, 8.0 IP, 9 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 1 SV

Aaron Bossi -- Catcher -- GCL Yankees East (Gulf Coast League; Rookie Affiliate of the New York Yankees)

Bossi made his professional debut on July 1 against the GCL Yankees West and scored a run. Bossi earned his first hit on Wednesday against the GCL Blue Jays. The right-handed batter had a double and scored a run.

Bossi's season stats: 6 G, .100 AVG, 10 AB, 1 H, 2 R, 0 RBI, 2 BB
