SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Morehead State (22-10, 8-4 Ohio Valley Conference) enters the midweek contest on a four-game losing streak. The Eagles dropped a game at West Virginia last Wednesday before being swept at UT Martin over the weekend. MSU is 14-1 at home, but holds a 5-7 record on the road this season.
The Eagles feature eight players with a batting average of .300. Junior Eli Boggess leads Morehead State by batting .394 with 37 hits and 18 RBIs. Niko Hulsizer has a team-best 12 home runs and 40 RBIs.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Ohio (15-15, 3-3 Mid-American Conference) will play a midweek game at Youngstown State before heading south to Huntington. The Bobcats were swept over the weekend in a three-game series against Central Michigan. Ohio is 6-3 on the road, 4-8 at home and 5-4 at neutral sites.
Ohio prides itself with one of the nation's best fielding percentages this spring. The Bobcats rank fourth in the country with a .985 fielding percentage. OU has committed 18 errors in 828 putouts.
