One Finals Qualifier for @HerdTFXC at C-USA Championships

EL PASO, Tx.-The Marshall track and field team has completed three of four days at the 2017 Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. After three days of competition, the Herd sits tied for 10th place with nine points.
Running events began on Saturday for the Herd, with the majority being preliminary events. The Herd had one athlete qualify for a final on Sunday. Freshman Safiyyah Mitchell ran a time of 13.66 in the 100 meter hurdles, finishing fifth in preliminaries. She advances to the finals at 7:50 ET on Sunday.
Sophomore Elena Marchand had the top individual finish so far for Marshall in the championships in the discus throw. She threw a mark of 157 feet, 11 inches (48.13 meters), finishing fourth overall.
Full results from the team's first three days of action are listed below. The multi-event heptathlon began on Thursday for Torie Derrow and Sarah Bever, and was completed on Friday.
