HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Herd men's basketball travels to College Park, Md., for a matchup against Big Ten foe Maryland Terrapins Friday.

HAVE YOU HERD
The Herd went to wire-to-wire on Monday, 95-71, against North Carolina A&T to move to 4-0.

Senior guard Jon Elmore is three points from passing Walt Walowac for third all-time in program history and just 20 away from reaching the 2,000-point plateau becoming the third player in program history to reach the feat.

Senior guard C.J. Burks set a career-high in steals against North Carolina A&T with five takeaways. His previous mark of four was set in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament against Wichita State.

Elmore needs 38 more made three-pointers to pass Austin Loop for the most in program history.

The Herd has scored 90 or more points in three of their first four games, defeating teams by at least 20 points in each of those three games.

Marshall has four wins against Big Ten programs, including two over Maryland.

WITH A WIN
A win over Maryland would mark just the third 5-0 start for the program since the 1996-97 season.

A win Friday would be the first for the program since Dec. 21, 1973, a home victory over Northwestern.

SCOUTING THE TERRAPINS
Maryland is 5-0 this season with its last win coming on Nov. 18 against Mount St. Mary's, 92-77. The Terrapins have five players averaging 10 or more points. Maryland is outscoring its opponents by a 15.2-point margin and sports a 48.7 shooting percentage from the field. The Terrapins have outrebounded their opponents by an average of 13.8 boards in five games.
