HAVE YOU HERD?

-- With Peter Hutzal's two home runs in last Friday's doubleheader against ODU, the first baseman pulled within one of Reynaldo Pastrana's team-high 12 homers this season. The pair have combined for 23 balls hit out of the park in 2018, half of Marshall's total as a team.

-- After getting a start four weeks in a row for The Herd coming off a season-ending injury, Ryan Falls is now holding opposing batters to a team-low .182 batting average. The junior will look for his first win of the season in Friday's series opener against Charlotte.

-- The Herd will need to play clean over its final seven games to claw its way into the conference tournament. Marshall leads C-USA with 68 errors this season.

SCOUTING THE 49ERS

-- Dominick Cammarata and Reece Hampton will draw a lot of attention from Marshall pitchers if they get on base. Cammarata's 14 stolen bags are a team-high, while Hampton's 12 come in second.

-- Starting pitcher Josh Maciejewski has a team-high 7 wins this year in 12 starts. Relief pitcher Colby Bruce is 5-1 out of the bullpen this season.

-- Charlotte has five players batting over .300 this season, led by Harris Yett with a .358 batting average.
