Women’s Soccer Falls in Final Road Contest at LA Tech

RUSTON, La. – Marshall women's soccer (4-13-0, 2-7-0) drops it final road contest in a defeat at Louisiana Tech on Sunday afternoon.
"We again gave ourselves a chance to win the game," Marshall head coach Kevin Long said. "But in the end, we couldn't deal with their late danger."
Marshall struck early when Marah Abu-Tayeh buried a goal, assisted by Alyssa Totzke, in the seventh minute to go up 1-0.
Herd goal keeper Lindsay Langley made three saves in the first half, but Louisiana Tech answered in the 28th minute with a goal by Klesha Darroux as the scored remained 1-1 at halftime.
Just over eight minutes into the second half, Julia Schukle netted a goal to put MU back on top 2-1.
However, the Lady Techsters tied game when Darroux scored her second of the contest in the 81st minute and took the lead when Jaelynn Peoples scored to give them a 3-2 lead and eventual winning margin.
NOTES
Langley made six saves, the 10th time this season she has made six or more saves.
Marah Abu-Tayeh has scored a point in seven of the last six matches.

Marshall returns home for its final game of the season on Friday (Nov. 1) against WKU. First kick is scheduled for 7 p.m.
