KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Marshall baseball (1-3) couldn't get much going in its final game in Kissimmee, Fla., as it was defeated by the Iowa Hawkeyes 10-0.

Starting pitcher Zac McNeel retired the first two batters in each of the first two innings, but a combination of walks and errors resulted in four two-out Iowa runs in the first two frames as Marshall trailed 4-0.
Â
Iowa starter Grant Judkins shut the Herd's offense down going six shutout innings, while only allowing four baserunners without allowing a hit.
Â
Iowa added two more runs across the fifth, seventh and eighth innings to lead 10-0 after the top of the eighth, the eventual final score.
Â
Jaren Lovely broke up the Hawkeyes no-hit effort with a single in bottom half of the eighth inning, Marshall's lone hit in the ball game.
Â
Marshall reliever Sam Boone struck out the side in the ninth.

UP NEXT
The Herd heads to Wilmington, N.C., to take part in the Hughes Bros. Challenge with UNC-Wilmington, Iona and Indiana State. Marshall will begin the challenge against Iona on Feb. 22 at Noon.
