Baseball Prepares for Hughes Bros. Challenge

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall baseball heads to Wilmington, N.C., to take part in the Hughes Bros. Challenge this weekend from Feb. 22-Feb. 24. The others teams taking part in the weekend are Iona, Indiana State and the host school UNC Wilmington.

- Erik Rodriguez has a team-leading .357 batting average after the first four ballgames, while Geordon Blanton leads the Herd with four RBI and has hit the team's lone dinger.

- Elvis Peralta had a pair of triples in the opening weekend, while Reynaldo Pastrana collected a pair of doubles.
