Baseball Heads to Hattiesburg to Take on Southern Miss

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall baseball (18-10, 6-3) travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., to take on the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles in a three-game set beginning on Friday.

Joshua Shapiro and Ryan Falls are tied for the team lead in wins with four each. Shapiro also has a 1.38 ERA, which is 38th best in the country.

Tucker Linder is on a career-high 13-game hitting streak.

The Herd is batting .299 with runners in scoring position this season, including a team-best .422 batting in the situation by Linder.

Zach Inskeep has 23 RBI to go with a team-leading five dingers.

Marshall has nine batters hitting over .280, including six batting better than .300.

Erik Rodriguez leads the Herd in triples (4) and stolen bases (17).

Marshall's .299 team batting average is tied for 20th best in the country.
