Women’s Soccer Set to Host Charlotte

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University women's soccer team (3-9-2, 0-5-1 C-USA) closes out the home portion of its schedule on Friday at Hoops Family Field when it hosts the Charlotte 49ers (6-5-2, 2-2-2 C-USA) at 7 p.m.

HAVE YOU HEARD
The Herd dropped its road contest at FAU 3-2 last Friday in double overtime.
Junior forward Morgan White tied the match in the 47th minute on an assist from freshman forward Courtney Corcoran. It was White's second goal and Corcoran's second assist of the season.
Senior forward Kat Gonzalez gave Marshall the lead in the 62nd minute when she buried a PK.
The Owls scored an equalizer late in the second half before taking the contest in the second extra period.
Freshman goalkeeper Mira Pastoft made six saves in the game.
Meg Jarvis has a team-high five goals this season, tied for fifth most in C-USA, as Gonzalez has contributed four scoring efforts.
White is tied with Corcoran for the team lead in assists with two while contributing a pair of goals, good for third on the Herd.
SCOUTING CHARLOTTE
The 49ers are 2-1-2 in its last five matches and is coming off a scoreless draw at Old Dominion.
Charlotte has three student-athletes with three or more goals this season as Michaella Areta has three, Macey Bader has four and Piper Biziorek has found the back of the net a team-high five times this season.
Biziorek is tied with Bader to lead the squad in points with 11 as Bader has a team-best three assists.
