Men’s Golf Back on the Course at Mountaineer Intercollegiate

Three-round, two-day event tees off Monday at 8:45 a.m.
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Marshall men's golf team is back in action at the Mountaineer Intercollegiate, Oct. 4-5. The three-round, two-day event is hosted by West Virginia University and is played at the Pete Dye Golf Club.
The course is a par 72 with total yardage of 7,308. The tournament tees off with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. Monday as the participants will play two rounds and then one final round on Tuesday. Live scoring is provided by GolfStat.com.
Competing for the Herd will be fifth-year senior Noah Mullens, junior Tyler Jones, redshirt freshmen Joseph Kalaskey, Brett Montgomery and Andrew Wyss, and freshman Ryan Bilby.
Marshall is one of 12 teams competing in the Mountaineer Intercollegiate. Along with host WVU the other programs are Bowling Green, Drexel, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, George Mason, Maryland, North Carolina State, Ohio, Penn State and Xavier.
The Herd is coming off a runner-up finish at the River Run Collegiate, Sept. 20-21. Marshall had three players finish in the top 20 in Mullens (third), Bilby (T12th) and Jones (T19). So far through three tournaments to open the fall season the Herd has finished tied for fifth at the EKU Fall Intercollegiate, won the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational and then the second-place finish at River Run.
