HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – After a win at Youngstown State on Thursday, Marshall women's soccer (1-3-1) looks to carry its momentum into its last of five straight road contests on Sunday when it takes on the Akron Zips (0-4-0). First kick is scheduled for 1 p.m.

HAVE YOU HEARD
Marshall picked up its first win of the season over the Youngstown State Penguins on Thursday 2-1.
Junior forward Morgan White tallied her first goal of the season in the 48th minute to put MU 1-0 in the contest.
After the Green and White drew a penalty in the 70th minute, senior forward Kat Gonzalez stepped up to the spot and buried the penalty kick for her first goal of the season.
Freshman goalkeeper Mira Pastoft started the second half of the match and picked up her first collegiate victory.
The goal scorers for the Herd join senior defender Tesia Schray this season for a tie for the team lead with a goal this season.
SCOUTING AKRON
The Zips enter the contest 0-4 with the lone common opponent between the two teams being Wright State, which beat Akron 3-0 on Thursday in Akron.
Penelope Cuirinier has started all four contests for the Zips, 24 saves on 36 shots on goal.
Aislinn Meany Carly Pcholinsky and Morgan Pentz have each scored a goal for the Zips this season.
