"I think the takeaway today is that our kids trained hard over the break while we were gone for Christmas," said Marshall head track and field coach Jeff Small.
"I thought we performed well in every area, the jumps, the sprints, the hurdles, the throws and the distances. I was really pleased. I was pleased with the freshmen and thought they stepped up. The whole staff is pretty tickled."
The Thundering Herd will be back in action at the VMI Keydet Invitational in Lexington, Virginia, on Friday, Jan. 21, through Saturday, Jan. 22.
