HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University women's soccer team returns to Hoops Family Field for a matchup with the James Madison Dukes. Kickoff on Friday, October 14th will be at 7:00 p.m.

PRE-MATCH NOTES

Marshall enters Friday's match with a 2-3-2 record at home in 2022. Coach Swan's side has scored 11 goals at Hoops Family Field this season. 

Freshman goalkeeper Alexis Wolgemuth leads the way in net with 37 saves this season. Her 4.62 saves per game average is second in the league. 

Senior Morgan White is tied for the lead in the Sun Belt Conference in goals (8) and goals per game (0.62). Her 17 points, and 1.31 points per game remain second in the conference as well.

Senior Kat Gonzalez leads the league with 46 total shots. Her average of 3.54 shots per game is second in the conference.

Friday will be the fourth meeting all-time between Marshall and the Dukes. JMU leads the all-time series, 2-1.

ABOUT THE DUKES

JMU enters Friday's contest on a six-match undefeated streak and leads the Sun Belt East.

The Dukes were picked to finish second in the Sun Belt East Preseason Poll. Head coach Joshua Walters, Sr.'s side have lived up to the bill, sitting with a three point advantage in the East standings. 

Amanda Attanasi and Lidia Nduka have been the top two scorers for the JMU offense. Attanasi leads the team with six goals and 15 points. Nduka follows behind with five goals and 12 points.

Alexandra Blom has led a trio of JMU keepers, making 46 saves this season. The redshirt-junior from Sweden has been in net for seven of the team's 10 shutouts this season.
