HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Following a thrilling 2-1 victory over App State in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, the Marshall women's soccer team shifts their focus to the second-seeded South Alabama Jaguars. Kickoff from the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Alabama will be at 2:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday.

PRE-MATCH NOTES
Marshall and South Alabama did not meet in the regular season. In fact, the Herd and Jaguars have never met in women's soccer.
The Jaguars enter the tournament with a 10-2-6 record (6-1-3 Sun Belt). South Alabama have been a Sun Belt Conference power, winning eight of the last nine Sun Belt titles.
Leading USA is Sun Belt Women's Soccer Player of the Year Jasmine Greene. Greene finished the regular season as the league's leading goal-scorer (12) and the league's leader in points (25).
The Jaguars are coached by Richard Moodie. Moodie has a 122-74-22 record across his 11 seasons of coaching.

Marshall vs App State Postgame Recap
Marshall defeated the seventh-seeded App State Mountaineers in the opening round of the Sun Belt Tournament Monday.
Kat Gonzalez scored the match-winner in the 92nd minute. The Sun Belt Second Team All-Conference member now has six goals and 15 assists.

Freshman Makai Laguines scored the equalizer for Marshall in the 59th minute, Sun Belt First Team All-Conference member Morgan White found Laguines for the assist.
