Marshall Volleyball Welcomes Conference Leading Dukes

White Out and Mental Health Awareness Night Friday at 6 p.m., Hawaiian Day Saturday at 1 p.m.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University volleyball team (7-17, 1-11 Sun Belt) welcomes the Sun Belt Conference leading James Madison Dukes (17-4, 1-11 Sun Belt) to the Cam Henderson Center this weekend for a pair of matches.
 
PROMOTIONS
On Friday, join us for a White Out and Mental Health Awareness Night. Please wear white to the game so we can 'White Out' The Cam. The Be HERD Mental Wellness and Performance Coaching staff will be on-site with a table set with available information.

On Saturday join us for Hawaiian Day. Wear your favorite Hawaiian outfit or shirt as the best costume will receive a prize.

Series History:
vs. James Madison – JMU leads the all-time series 7-5, last meeting was on Aug. 31, 2013, in Charlottesville, Va. (3-0 JMU win)

Graduate student Macy McElhaney leads the Herd with 241 kills (2.80 kills per set) as senior Lydia Montague has a team-best .304 hitting percentage. Montague also has a squad- -best 97 blocks, third most in the SBC.
 
Fifth-year senior Kaitlyn Gehler leads Marshall with 307 digs.
 
Sophomore Brynn Brown leads MU with nine double-doubles this season, including three triple-doubles, fifth most in the country.

Scouting the Opponent
James Madison
The Dukes enter the weekend with a conference-best 17-4 overall record and 11-1 record in SBC contests.
 
JMU is 16th in the country in blocks per set with 2.66.
 
Sophie Davis leads the Sun Belt in total blocks (104), blocks per set (1.37) and hitting percentage (.426)
