Women’s Golf Begins Spring 2022 Season at First Coast Classic

Three-round, two-day event played Feb. 14-15
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Marshall women's golf team tees off the 2022 spring season at the First Coast Classic, hosted by North Florida. The three-round, two-day event will be played at Deerwood Country Club, Feb. 14-15.

The teams will play 36 holes on Monday, Feb. 14, and then finish with a round of 18 on Tuesday, Feb. 15. The course at Deerwood Country Club is a par 72, with total yardage of 6,002.
Competing for the Thundering Herd are graduate student Stormy Randazzo, senior Jackie Schmidt, junior Makena Rauch, and freshmen Emily McLatchey and Katie Potter.
Marshall is one of 12 teams competing in the event. The other programs are host No. 59 North Florida, Arkansas State, Daytona State College, Eastern Kentucky, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia State, High Point, Stetson, Troy, South Alabama and WKU.
The Herd finished the fall season at the Grandover Fall Classic, Nov. 1-2, hosted by UNC Greensboro. Marshall finished seventh out of 12 teams. Schmidt led the team tied for 14th overall.
