JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Marshall women's golf team finished the first two rounds on day one of the First Coast Classic on Monday.
The Herd is in 10th place. Marshall improved its team score by 14 strokes in the second round. The final round of 18 tees off Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The Herd will begin on holes 13-17. Live scoring is provided by GolfStat.com.
Graduate student Stormy Randazzo leads the way for Marshall in a tie for 23rd. Randazzo improved her score by five strokes in the second round and moved up 15 places on the leaderboard. The Rowlett, Texas, native recorded four birdies in the second round and finished the day with seven total, tied for the fourth-most in the tournament.
Senior Jackie Schmidt is tied for 30th and finished the day shooting par or better on 23 holes. Freshman Emily McLatchey also scored par or better on 23 holes. Freshman Katie Potter improved her score by 12 strokes in the second round, moving up three places on the leaderboard, and junior Makena Rauch saw a six-stroke improvement in the second round as well.
WKU leads the team competition by one stroke over Eastern Kentucky. Olivia Schmidt of Arkansas State leads the field by four strokes after shooting a 7-under 137. Ragga Kristinsdottir of EKU sits in second.
