Men’s Golf Tees Off at the Loyola Intercollegiate

Three-day, three-round event Feb. 20-22
GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The Marshall men's golf team is back in action to start the spring season at the Loyola Intercollegiate, Feb. 20-22, hosted by Loyola University Maryland.
The three-round, three-day event will be played at the Palm Valley Golf Club. The course is a par-72 with total yardage of 7,015. Each morning will begin with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. MST, 9:45 a.m. EST. The teams will play one round each day. Live scoring is provided by GolfStat.com.
Competing for the Thundering Herd are fifth-year seniors Noah Mullens and Brad Plaziak, junior Tyler Jones, redshirt freshmen Brett Montgomery and Andrew Wyss, and freshman Ryan Bilby.
Marshall is one of 18 teams competing in the event. The other teams playing out at Palm Valley are the host school Loyola Maryland, Drake, (No. 86) Middle Tennessee, Delaware, (No. 99) Seton Hall, SIU Edwardsville, Creighton, South Dakota, Air Force, UT-Martin, Hartford, Bucknell, Holy Cross, Gonzaga, Missouri State, Utah Valley and DePaul.
The Herd last played as a team at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, Oct. 18-19. Marshall finished seventh as Bilby led the team tying for 13th overall. Marshall had four individuals compete at the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate, Feb. 6-8. Team scores were not kept, however Plaziak was selected as the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week following his performance.
