Men’s Golf Returns to Action at Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate

Two-day, two-round event tees off Monday at 1:30 p.m.
SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Marshall men's golf team is back on the course at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, March 14-15, at the Sevierville Golf Club. The event is hosted by Tennessee Tech.
Due to snow moving through on Saturday, the tournament will be 36 holes, with one round of 18 on Monday and one round of 18 on Tuesday. The original schedule called for three rounds with one each on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The teams will tee off on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Live scoring is provided by GolftStat.com.
The River Course at the Sevierville Golf Club is a par-72 with total yardage of 6,859.
Competing for the Thundering Herd is fifth-year senior Noah Mullens, senior Isaac Prine, juniors Tyler Jones and Christian Boyd, redshirt freshman Brett Montgomery and freshman Ryan Bilby. The Herd will be starting the day on holes 4-6 and No. 15.
Marshall is one of 16 teams playing in the tournament. The other programs are host Tennessee Tech, Alabama A&M, Bellarmine, Binghamton, Carson-Newman, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Findlay, Morehead State, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Oral Roberts, Roane State Community College, Tennessee State and Walters State Community College.
The Herd is coming off a third place finish at the Sea Palms Invitational, March 4-5. Jones led the team coming in second place.
