Herd Records Six Top-Six Finishes at UofSC Invite

Herd readies for Vanderbilt Music City Challenge

RESULTS

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Marshall took part in the UofSC Invite Saturday and finished the day with six top-six finishes in Columbia.
 
The meet was held at the Sheila and Morris Cregger Track.
 
Kylee Mastin finished fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:12.91, a mark that vaults her to the league's ninth-fastest time this season.
 
Also placing fourth was Rebecca Merritt in the discus (46.13 meters) to go with a fifth-place showing in the hammer throw (55.30 meters). Right behind her in that event was MaryAnn Adebayo (54.41 meters).
 
Ashonti Warner came in fifth in the 400 hurdles (59.54), while the 4x400 relay team of Marlee Porter, Erica Murphy, Jillian King and Mikah Alleyne (3:49.06) took sixth.
 
The Thundering Herd will be back in action at the Vanderbilt Music City Challenge in Nashville on Friday and Saturday.
