SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Marshall's outdoor track and field team will be in action this week (Thursday through Sunday) at the 2022 Conference USA Championships, a meet that will be hosted by UTSA at the Park West Athletics Complex in San Antonio.

Heading into this week's competition, the Thundering Herd's national rankings are as follows:

400 Hurdles (Ashonti Warner, Mikah Alleyne, Marlee Porter and Jillian King): 17th
Hammer Throw (MaryAnn Adebayo, Brooke Burns, Rebecca Merritt and Josie Moore): 18th
100 Hurdles (Warner, Tyra Thomas, Krista Perry and Alleyne): 26th

Alleyne comes into the championship with the league's second-fastest 400 meter time (53.35 seconds), while Abby Herring (9:54.72) boasts C-USA's second-best 3000 meter mark.

Warner is also second in the 400 hurdles (58.17) and third in the 100 hurdles (13.61).
