Warner Advances to Regional Quarterfinals in 400M Hurdles

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Marshall senior Ashonti Warner qualifies for the Regional Quarterfinals at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary Championship on Thursday, held at Indiana University's Robert C. Haugh Complex.
Due to weather conditions, the time of the heats were moved up by four hours on Thursday.
Warner finished fourth in heat No. 4, and 18th overall, with a time of 58.66.
"Ashonti ran very well today," Herd head coach Jeff Small said. "If she can run even better on Saturday then she would have an excellent chance to advance to the semi-finals in Eugene, Oregon."
The Hallandale, Florida, native will run next on Saturday at 7:25 p.m. The top 12 finishers from Saturday's run will advance to compete in the 2022 NCAA Championships, which are held June 8-11 in Eugene, Oregon.
Fans can tune in through Live Results and with a Live Stream on Saturday.
Junior Mikah Alleyne ran in heat No. 6 and finished with a time of 1:00.70 and finished outside of the top 24.
