Marshall Baseball Announces 2023 Schedule

15 games in Huntington, 13 games in Charleston highlight home slate

FULL SCHEDULE
 
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University baseball head coach Greg Beals unveiled the 2023 baseball schedule on Thursday. The 53-game slate features 28 home contest, 15 at the Kennedy Center in Huntington and 13 at GoMart Ballpark (formerly Appalachian Power Park) in Charleston.
 
Schedule highlights include three power-five opponents coming to Charleston, including two games against Ohio State (March 14 and 15), West Virginia (April 5) and Virginia Tech (May 2), which made the 2022 NCAA Baseball Super Regionals.
 
Marshall begins the 2023 campaign in Birmingham, Alabama, against the Saint Louis Billikens (February 17-19) in a neutral site series.
 
MU's first home series is set for March 3 through March 5 when it hosts St. Johns in Huntington.
 
Marshall will host the App State Mountaineers for its inaugural Sun Belt Conference series from March 17 through March 19 in Charleston the opening weekend of conference play.
 
Other home SBC series include 2022 NCAA Tournament Regionalists Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in Charleston (April 6-8) and Georgia Southern Eagles in Huntington (April 21-23).
 
The Herd's final two home Sun Belt series come against the James Madison Dukes in Charleston from May 5 through May 7 and the Troy Trojans from May 12 through May 14 in Huntington.
 
Marshall will play five road conference series. For the road series, they'll travel to Old Dominion (March 24-26), ULM (March 31-April 2), 2022 NCAA Baseball Tournament Regionalist Texas State (April 14-16), Georgia State (April 28-30) and closes out the season in Myrtle Beach against 2022 NCAA Baseball Tournament Regionalist Coastal Carolina (May 18-20).
 
The 2023 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament will be played in Montgomery, Alabama, at Riverwalk Stadium from May 23 through May 28.
