Herd Women’s Golf Readies for UNCG Collegiate

Kochan is reigning SBC Player of Week as team enters tournament
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Marshall's Women's Golf team has its sights set on a title as the team heads to the UNCG Collegiate at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The tournament features 19 teams and gets underway at 8:30 a.m. on Monday with a shotgun start for the 54-hole event.
"We're really excited to see what the team can do at Grandover Resort this week," Marshall Women's Golf Coach Brooke Burkhammer said. "We've started the year strong and we look forward to competing to see if we can continue the momentum."
Monday's action will feature 36 holes with the teams playing concurrent 18-hole rounds. The second round is expected to approximately start at 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday's final round will be 18 holes starting at 8:30 a.m. The awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the tournament.
Marshall sophomore Olivia Kochan leads the Thundering Herd into the event after having won the SBC Women's Golfer of the Week award after earning a T-4 finish at the Butler Fall Invitational last week.
Marshall's Kasey McIlvaine (T-6), Emily McLatchey (T-14) and Abbey Bull (T-18) also finished in the top-20 at the tournament as the Herd finished third in the team standings.
