HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Off to its best start since 2009, the Marshall women's soccer team (3-0-1) hosts Gardner-Webb (1-4). Kickoff for Signing Sunday at Hoops Family Field is set for 1 p.m.

PRE-MATCH NOTES
- Marshall's dramatic win over Ohio on Thursday represented the Herd's first win over the Bobcats since the 2017 season.
- Sophomore Bailey Fisher scored her team-leading third goal of the year in the victory. All three goals for Fisher have been match-winning goals, a number which leads the Sun Belt Conference.
- Sophomore Alexis Wolgemuth has collected 23 saves on the season. Her 5.75 saves per game average tops the SBC.

ABOUT THE RUNNIN' BULLDOGS
- Gardner-Webb has opened 2023 with a challenging schedule, most recently falling to No. 4 North Carolina. GWU enters Sunday with a 1-4 record.
- The Bulldogs are led by All-Big South selections; midfielder Klara Ovefelt and defender Camila Lezcano.
- GWU was picked fourth in the Big South poll, one spot behind previous Marshall opponent, High Point.
