- Marshall scored three goals in a road draw Thursday at Southern Miss. It was the Herd's first three-goal performance on the road since the season opener last year at Morehead State.
- Junior Ami Komori provided a goal and an assist in the draw in Hattiesburg. The St. Bonaventure transfer now has two goals this year after leading her team with six last season.
- As the season enters the final few weeks, Marshall is in a tight race to make one of the top eight spots in the SBC Women's Soccer Championship. The full standings can be viewed, HERE.
ABOUT THE MOUNTAINEERS
- App State is 5-3-4 overall and 2-0-2 in league play. The Mountaineers are unbeaten in conference play, winning at Georgia Southern and Louisiana, while drawing Coastal Carolina at home and against Georgia State in a neutral site contest due to Hurricane Helene.
- Graduate Senior Izzi Wood leads the conference by a large margin with 55 shots. Her eight goals are tied for the league's lead.
- Marshall leads the all-time series, 4-1-1. All three of the meetings in Huntington have resulted in a Thundering Herd victory.
