HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The 13th-seeded Marshall University Men's Soccer team (14-1-7) travels to Cary, North Carolina, for the 2024 College Cup Final Four as it faces the top-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes (16-1-4) in the semifinals on Friday. First kick at WakeMed Soccer Park is scheduled for 7:36 p.m. on ESPNU.

- The Herd secured its spot in the 2024 College Cup Final Four with a 3-2 win in The Round of 8 at SMU on Sunday.

- Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos recorded his third consecutive multi-goal contribution contest of the 2024 NCAA Tournament with one goal and two assists against the Mustangs. The Brazilian forward ranks third in the country with 35 points and fourth with 15 goals this season, ranking second and in a tie for second, respectively, in each stat in a season in program history.

- Marco Silva tallied the second goal of the match for his fifth goal of the season with Pablo Simon registered the game winner on his fourth of the year.

- With the victory, Head Coach Chris Grassie now sits at 99 during his tenure at Marshall and 199 for his career.

- Between the sticks, Aleksa Janjic picked up win number 11 on the season. The Serbian goalkeeper ranks seventh nationally with a .703 goals against average.

- MU had five named United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region with Rodrigues dos Santos and Taimu Okiyoshi being named to the first-team with Takahiro Fujita, Rai Pinto and Alexander Stjernegaard being named to the second-team.

- Okiyoshi is lone player on the squad to start in all 22 matches playing 1,927 and being named an all-Sun Belt Conference first-team selection with Fujita, a second-team all-SBC selection, tallying a pair of assists and a goal this season.

- Pinto has four goals and is a perfect 3-for-3 from the penalty spot this year with Stjernegaard tallying four assists and a pair of goals.

ABOUT THE BUCKEYES
- Ohio State reached the College Cup Final Four with a win over Western Michigan in the Second Round, advancing on penalty kicks over Stanford in the Third Round and a victory over Wake Forest in the Quarterfinals.

- The Buckeyes rank second nationally with a plus-33 goal differential and fifth in goals per game at 2.43.

- Goalkeeper Max Trejo leads the nation with a .495 goals against average and second in save percentage at .842 in 12 starts this season.

- Michael Adedokun leads OSU in points (33), assists (11) and goals (11), ranking sixth in assists in NCAA Division I Men's Soccer and seventh in points.
