Two-day championships begin Monday from Birmingham

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Championship season has arrived for Marshall track and field. Director of Track and Field Keith Roberts and the Herd travels to the Birmingham Crossplex for the two-day Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships starting on Monday, Feb. 19.
The field events begin with the Women's Weight Throw at 2:30 p.m. eastern Monday. The first event on the track will be the Women's Mile at 4:05 p.m eastern.
"We've had six months of training and the time has finally arrived to put it all on the line," Coach Roberts said. "We have always based our program on competitive greatness, giving your best when your best is needed. We had our best meet of the season last week but now it's time to show up and show out. All year long we have talked about the importance of being champions in every aspect. We want to honor Marshall, our families, and the teams that came before us by giving everything we have at the championship meet."

At the 2023 indoor championships, Marshall had 11 All-Conference winners (podium finishers).
