Ulrich Homers Twice in Series Opener Against ULM

Marshall falls to Warhawks Thursday night
HUNTINGTON, W.Va — Marshall redshirt-sophomore Brooklyn Ulrich hit two home runs Thursday night, including her second grand slam of the year, in a 16-8 loss at home against ULM.
Ulrich is just the second player in MUSB history to hit multiple grand slams in the same season. Samantha Rodriguez achieved the same feat in 2007
The Herd (17-16, 3-4 SBC) gave up crooked numbers to the Warhawks (20-14, 3-4 SBC) in the 4th, 5th, and 6th innings in route to the 16-8 defeat.
The Herd scored six in the 5th, with runs driven in by catcher Reagan Glanz following the Ulrich slam.
Offensively, did pick up 11 hits, its seventh time this season producing more than 10 hits in a game. In addition to Ulrich, Bella Gerlach (2-for-3) and Bub Feringa (3-for-4) had multi-hit performances in the game.
Additionally, Feringa - MU's starter - did match a career-best five punchouts.
