Herd Men’s Golf To Compete In Peoples Golf Championship

Marshall heads to Sea Palms Resort for 54-hole event
ST. SIMONS, Ga. – Marshall's Men's Golf team is headed to Sea Palms Resort in St. Simons, Georgia, to compete in the Peoples Golf Championship, hosted by Western Carolina.
Action in the 54-hole event gets underway on Thursday, beginning at 8 a.m. There are 22 teams and 128 total golfers in the field. Teams will play 18 holes per day on each day, culminating with Saturday's final round.
"Sea Palms is a wonderful golf course and is in great condition," Marshall Men's Golf coach Matt Grobe said. "They have received quite a bit of rain over the last week, but the course has handled it well. I am looking forward to seeing the guys compete this week. We have some good momentum from the Loyola Intercollegiate in Phoenix last week."
Competitors for the Thundering Herd in the team event include Tyler Jones, Ryan Bilby, Joseph Kalaskey, Clayton Thomas and Cameron Jarvis. Andrew Wyss will also compete as an individual.
Marshall's golfers are scheduled to tee off from No. 1 at 9:55 a.m. Among individuals competing, Wyss will tee off from No. 1 just before the team at 9:45 a.m.
