HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (9-18) is set for its second contest against the No. 11 Virginia Tech Hokies (21-5) in the last week as the team's faceoff at 6 p.m. in Jack Cook Field on Tuesday.

PRE-GAME NOTES

Marshall fell in its road series at App State this weekend.
Cam Harthan saw his nine-game hitting streak come to an end on Saturday, but has reached base safely in 14 straight games.
With 11 doubles, Owen Ayers sits in third in Sun Belt one between two sitting in the lead at 12 with Elijah Vogelsong's three triples being tied for the conference lead and 16th in the nation.

Virginia Tech saw a seven-game winning streak snapped on Saturday but took its series over the Pitt Panthers this past weekend.
The Hokies rank fourth nationally with 60 home runs during the 2024 season with Carson DeMartini accounting for 14, eighth most in the country.
VT's .335 batting average sits fifth in Division I baseball, one of three teams in ACC in the top five of the category.
