Blevins Named First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference

NEW ORLEANS – Marshall University Baseball pitcher Bryce Blevins was named First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference on Monday, as announced by the league office. The lefty gets the Herd's first first-team nod since Luke Edwards in 2022.

The lefty had quite the season on the bump earning four-time SBC Pitcher of the Week awards while finishing with a 3.45 ERA, fifth-best in the SBC, and striking out the sixth most batters in the conference at 71 with 28 looking, second most in the SBC.

Blevins made 15 appearances, 11 starts, throwing an SBC high 86 innings with six quality starts, with a pair of complete games including a nine-inning, four-hit shutout against Texas State on April 6.

Blevins had a pair of 10 strikeout games with 10 at then No. 19 Louisiana on April 13 and a career-high 11 against Georgia State on May 4 as he allowed three or fewer earned runs in 12 of his 15 appearances.
