Women’s Soccer Begins Ivy League Road Trip at Dartmouth Friday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall women's soccer (0-0-1) departs Wednesday to New Hampshire to face Dartmouth, who will be playing in its season opener Friday evening. Kickoff from Hanover Field will be at 5 p.m.
Following the match Friday, the Herd will stay in New England for a showdown Monday evening against Harvard.

PRE-MATCH NOTES
- Marshall opened its season with a 1-1 draw against Morehead State. Ebony Leckey scored the Herd's goal. The Northern Ireland native is one of 19 new players for new coach, Rafa Simoes.
- The Herd was perfect in out-of-conference competition last season away from Huntington. Goalkeeper Alexis Wolgemuth - who made her return in the opener Thursday night - has made 44 saves in road matches in her career.
- The Herd has never faced off with an Ivy League opponent in its 27-season history.

ABOUT THE BIG GREEN
- Dartmouth is led by second-year head coach, Taylor Schram. The Penn State graduate went 7-3-5 in year one with the Big Green.
- The Ivy League picked Dartmouth 5th in its Preseason Poll. The Herd's opponent Monday, Harvard, is the league's preseason favorite.
- The team's leading goalscorer from 2023, Daisy Granholm returns to lead the team offensively. The Maine native had three goals last year.
