HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Fresh off an emotional win Sunday, Marshall women's soccer (1-2-1) travels to Athens to face Ohio (2-1-1).

PRE-MATCH NOTES

Head Coach Rafa Simoes earned his first-career win as head coach Sunday in the team's dramatic win over Belmont. Simoes was an assistant under Ohio's Coach Aaron Rodgers in 2019.
The Herd's Angel Fowler scored the 87th minute winner. It was Marshall's latest regulation-winning goal since Morgan White also scored in the 87th to defeat App State on Sept. 25, 2022.
Junior goalkeeper Alexis Wolgemuth pitched her sixth-career shutout in the win Sunday. She is fifth in program history in clean sheets.

ABOUT THE BOBCATS

Ohio is 2-1-1 with a pair of big victories over NKU (4-0) and Valparaiso (5-0).
The Bobcats' Scout Murray leads the team with four goals. The junior netted a hat-trick in the team's win over Valpo.
Marshall has played Ohio more than any other program in its 27-season history, facing off on 19 occasions. The Herd defeated OU 1-0 last season, but have never achieved a victory in Athens.
