Kylee Mastin Wins Second Straight Sun Belt Track Athlete of the Week Award

NEW ORLEANS – For the second week in a row, Marshall Track & Field graduate senior Kylee Mastin has been named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
Mastin set two personal records at the Vanderbilt Classic last weekend. First, Mastin was part of the Women's DMR team Friday, where she and her teammates set a new school record time of 11:42.46 to finish 2nd at the crowded field.

"Really proud of Kylee and everything she's accomplishing," Director of Track and Field Keith Roberts said. "She's put in the work throughout the entire year. I look forward to some more great performances throughout this season!"
Mastin then raced a personal and SBC-best 3K time of 9:26.76 to finish 3rd in Nashville. She holds the Marshall indoor track school record in the 800, 1K, Mile and DMR Relay.
"We're really excited to see she won athlete of the week this week," Marshall Head Cross Country coach Caleb Bowen said. "We thought she ran really well over the course of the weekend and we're working on doing everything she can to keep her performing at a high level."
Mastin currently leads the conference in Mile, 3K, and DMR time.
