Herd T&F Competes Against Top Competition Friday in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Marshall Track & Field competed against some of the top individual and team competition in the eastern half of the country Friday at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational.
The Herd saw six individuals set new personal-records and an additional five score.
Rebecca Merritt's top-three finish in the Women's Weight Throw highlighted Marshall's day from a scoring perspective. The senior's 19.46 meter throw was a personal-best and only one of three throws surpassing 19 meters at the meet.
Other scorers in the elite events included Lara Check and Addison Painter who finished top-eight in their respective Long Jump events.
