HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Women's Soccer (6-4-1, 2-2-1 SBC) hosts Old Dominion (7-1-3, 3-0-2 SBC) Sunday evening from Hoops Family Field. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

COACH RAFA SIMOES
- Head Coach Rafa Simoes is in year two leading Marshall's women's soccer program. The former associate with the Herd men's team is a 2018 graduate of the University of Charleston in West Virginia, where he played for then-head coach Chris Grassie.
- Simoes coached 19 newcomers in his first season leading Marshall's women's soccer team. He earned his first win as a head coach on Sept. 1, 2024 in a 1-0 victory over Belmont.
PRE-MATCH NOTES
- Marshall is 3-1 at home this season, including its two victories in league play against Georgia State and Arkansas State.
- Sophomore Fernanda Dantas leads the conference with eight assists this season, including her free kick delivery to senior Bailey Fisher Thursday night. Fisher's team-leading six goals are fifth in the SBC.
- Marshall is right on the line for qualification to the 2025 SBC Women's Soccer Championship. The top-8 teams make the cut for next month's tournament in Foley, Ala. For the full standings, view HERE.
ABOUT THE MONARCHS
- With 12 goals in its last two matches, Old Dominion enters the weekend atop the Sun Belt East Division standings. The Monarchs also have a win over No. 20 Virginia Tech to its credit this season.
- Head Coach Angie Hind is in year 12 in Norfolk. Hind holds a record of 102-78-36 with ODU.
- Marshall leads the all-time series, 5-3-2 over ODU, but is searching for its first victory over the Monarchs since the 2019 season.
