PRE-GAME NOTES

These two teams come in with two of the best quarterbacks in the Sun Belt Conference – ODU's Colton Joseph and Marshall's Carlos Del Rio-Wilson. Each has led their team to offensive success. ODU has averaged 36 points per game this year while Del Rio-Wilson's three starts have yielded 44.6 points per game.

In keeping with the offensive explosion theme, the last two contests between Marshall and Old Dominion have produced high-scoring contests. The Herd won 41-35 in Huntington in 2023 before earning a 42-35 win in Norfolk last season.

Currently, Old Dominion features one of the SBC's top defenses, allowing just 14.6 points per game.

Marshall Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Dwight "Deege" Galt IV spent three years at Old Dominion from 2019-21.

This week's game is the 'We Are … Herd Strong' game in which fans are invited to wear pink in support of those impacted by cancer. There will also be 10,000 pink rally towels and a special in-game ceremony to commemorate the day. 'I Cheer For' signs will be available at Fan Fest and at entry gates also. ABOUT MARSHALL

Marshall comes into this week's game after a bye week following a 54-51 double-OT loss at Louisiana in its Sun Belt Conference opener two weeks ago.

Quarterback Carlos Del Rio-Wilson continues to lead the offense to big numbers as the Herd put up 503 yards and scored 51 points against the Ragin' Cajuns. Del Rio-Wilson leads the nation in quarterback efficiency and is No. 2 in FBS in completion percentage as well.

One of his top weapons has been wide receiver Demarcus "Floyd" Lacey, who has caught 15 passes for 262 yards and three scores in the last two games.
