Herd Wins Three Events on Strong First Day of Liberty Open

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Marshall Track & Field won three events and placed eight more on the first day of the Liberty Open in Virginia. The Herd also qualified five for Saturday's finals.
Marshall swept the 1K with Kazuma Bowring and Hannah Wyler winning the event on both the men's and women's side. MU also won the Women's Weight Throw courtesy of Markayla Moore.
Director of T&F Keith Roberts' Herd saw eight individuals set new personal records - Haleigh Crum, Emma Henry, Bay'Andria Hodges, Samari McCord, Brynn McKeever, Jonathan Owusu, Chris Swint, and Tavon Simmons-Roberts.
