Gee Sets 200 School Record on First Day in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Marshall sophomore Dezire Gee continued her strong second season with the Herd by breaking the Women's Outdoor 200m record with a time of 23.68. Her mark would be Top-8 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Other scorers included Markayla Moore, Hannah Wyler and on the men's side, Addison Painter with a Top-3 finish in Long Jump.
"We had some great performances today," Director of Track & Field Keith Roberts said. "I am happy with the way our kids competed despite adverse weather conditions. Dezire breaking the school record in the 200 was huge. Sub-24 is next level and to back it up with a great 400h time shows her strength. Addison Painter also had another great day. He finished 3rd overall in a strong long jump field. We are looking forward to another great day tomorrow!"
