Herd T&F Trio Earn Sun Belt All-Conference Accolades

NEW ORLEANS — By way of their Top-3 finishes at last week's Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships, three Marshall Track & Field athletes have earned SBC All-Conference honors.
Freshman Destiny Berryman earned Second Team All-Conference after her second place finish in the 1500 meter run. Junior Hannah Wyler earned Third Team for finishing third in the same event, as did sophomore Taylor Spencer who earned bronze in the Women's Steeplechase.
"Destiny, Hannah, and Taylor have been locked in the entire year," Director of Track & Field Keith Roberts said. "Their progression has been phenomenal and the results show. They are great people and tremendous student-athletes and it's great to see them experiencing success. I am proud of what they achieved this year."
All three athletes have competed in-season since the fall. Each have lettered this season in Outdoor and Indoor Track & Field, as well as Cross Country.
"It's been such a blessing being able to work with Destiny, Hannah, and Taylor this year," Head Cross Country Coach Caleb Bowen said. "They all come to practice every day and give it 110% and that is ultimately what showed at the conference championship. They raced with guts and left it all out there. I am very proud of them and can't wait to see what they do in years to come."

• Men's Coach of the Year: John Frazier, Texas State
• Women's Track Performer of the Year: Abigail Parra, Texas State
• Women's Field Performer of the Year: Imani Moore, Georgia Southern
• Women's Newcomer of the Year: Emma Russum, App State
• Women's Freshman of the Year: Charlize Goody, Texas State
• Women's Coach of the Year: John Frazier, Texas State
