HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Women's Soccer (4-2-1, 0-0-1 SBC) travels directly from its last game Sunday in Georgia to Louisiana to face ULM (5-2-1, 0-0-1 SBC) Thursday evening at 8 p.m. eastern, 7 local.

COACH RAFA SIMOES
- Head Coach Rafa Simoes is in year two leading Marshall's women's soccer program. The former associate with the Herd men's team is a 2018 graduate of the University of Charleston in West Virginia, where he played for then-head coach Chris Grassie.
- Simoes coached 19 newcomers in his first season leading Marshall's women's soccer team. He earned his first win as a head coach on Sept. 1, 2024 in a 1-0 victory over Belmont.
PRE-MATCH NOTES
- Marshall's first tie of 2025 came in its first conference match Sunday where it drew at Georgia Southern, 1-1.
- Graduate transfer Marcella Alves scored her team co-leading third goal of the season with a header off a free kick in the Sunday draw. Sophomore Fernanda Dantas delivered the cross with her SBC co-leading fifth assist of the season.
- Head Coach Rafa Simoes and the leader of the Warhawks, Will Roberts were college teammates at the University of Charleston.
ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
- ULM also had its first tie of the year with a 1-1 draw at home against Texas State Sunday. The first matchday of the SBC season saw five ties over the weekend.
- Senior Skylar Blaise leads the team with four goals. Five Warhawks have scored two or more goals this season.
- Marshall and ULM played to a goalless draw in its only other meeting in Monroe in 2022.
